Chateau Dessert Group is a leading dessert manufacturer supplying premium patisserie to hotels, retail, and the transport sector.
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Pastry Chef to join our production team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in high-volume pastry or dessert manufacturing, with a strong understanding of production efficiency, quality control, and professional kitchen standards. The focus is volume, accuracy, and consistency.
Job Overview:
The Pastry Chef prepares, bakes, and finishes desserts to set specs. The work is hands on and process driven
Responsibilities:
- Produce pastries and desserts to agreed recipes and weights.
- Keep quality consistent across batches.
- Deliver high volume daily production on time.
- Support new product trials when required.
- Work closely with the production team to hit schedules.
- Keep work areas and equipment clean and organised.
- Monitor ingredients and packaging. Flag shortages early.
- Follow HACCP, SALSA, and site food safety rules at all times.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a high-volume pastry, bakery, or dessert manufacturing environment.
- High attention to detail. Recipes must be followed exactly.
- Strong practical pastry and baking skills.
- Comfortable working fast without cutting corners.
- Solid understanding of food safety in production kitchens.
- Reliable, organised, and flexible with workload.
- Right to work in the UK. NI number and UK bank account required.
