Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Cleaner to join our team, responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness across our store. The ideal candidate will have experience in janitorial services and be committed to creating a safe and hygienic environment for customers and staff alike. This paid position offers an opportunity to contribute to our already existing high standards in store.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of all commercial spaces, including shop floor, store areas, offices, corridors, washrooms, and communal areas
- Perform thorough cleaning of and maintain outside spaces including pumps, forecourt, outside seating area and bins
- Use appropriate cleaning equipment and products to ensure surfaces are sanitised and presentable
- Maintain cleaning schedules and report any maintenance issues or hazards promptly
- Restock supplies such as toilet paper, hand towels, and soap dispensers as needed
- Follow health and safety protocols at all times to ensure a safe working environment
- Dispose of waste responsibly in accordance with company policies
Qualifications
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services is preferred
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe handling procedures
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions effectively
