The William Jameson in Sunderland is looking for a motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a busy pub environment, has strong leadership skills, and is passionate about delivering great customer service.
What you’ll be doing
- Supporting the General Manager with the day-to-day running of the pub
- Leading and motivating the team during shifts
- Providing excellent customer service and ensuring guests have a great experience
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, presentation and service
- Helping with staff training, rotas and team development
- Supporting stock control and cash handling
- Ensuring company standards and health & safety procedures are followed
- Taking responsibility for the pub in the Manager’s absence
What we’re looking for
- Previous experience in a supervisory or management role, ideally within hospitality
- A positive, hands-on approach to leadership
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to remain calm and organised in a busy environment
- A team player with a strong work ethic
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays
- Someone who is keen to develop their career in hospitality
