The Opportunity
The Duty Security Manager is responsible for the operational leadership and management of security services across a prestigious corporate estate.
You will be entrusted with overseeing daily operations, leading incident response activity, managing personnel, ensuring contractual compliance and maintaining strong relationships with both client stakeholders and internal departments.
This role requires a confident leader who can make sound decisions under pressure, motivate teams, drive performance and maintain the highest standards of professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership

Lead and manage all security operations across the estate.

Provide visible leadership and direction to Supervisors and Officers.

Ensure operational excellence and consistent service delivery.

Drive continuous improvement across security processes and procedures.
Incident & Crisis Management

Act as the Duty Incident Leader during security, safety and business continuity incidents.

Coordinate emergency responses and critical decision-making processes.

Manage incident escalation and communication with senior stakeholders.

Support post-incident reviews and lessons learned processes.
People Management

Provide leadership, coaching and development to security personnel.

Conduct performance reviews, welfare meetings and development discussions.

Support disciplinary, capability and grievance processes.

Identify and develop future leaders through succession planning initiatives.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement

Build and maintain effective relationships with client representatives.

Represent the security function during meetings and operational briefings.

Provide professional advice relating to security risks and operational concerns.

Ensure stakeholder expectations are exceeded at all times.
Compliance & Governance

Ensure adherence to company policies, client procedures and industry best practice.

Conduct audits, inspections and quality assurance reviews.

Maintain accurate records, reports and compliance documentation.

Support regulatory, contractual and client audit requirements.
Security Risk Management

Assess operational risks and implement mitigation strategies.

Identify vulnerabilities and recommend improvements.

Support business continuity and resilience planning.

Essential Experience
We're keen to hear from candidates who can demonstrate:

Previous experience as a Duty Manager, Security Manager, Operations Manager, Security Supervisor or similar leadership role.

Experience managing teams within a corporate, financial services, critical infrastructure, government or high-profile environment.

Proven experience leading operational responses during incidents and emergencies.

Strong understanding of risk management, security operations and business continuity principles.

Experience conducting investigations and producing detailed reports.

Experience managing performance, attendance and employee development.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Strong decision-making abilities and confidence under pressure.
Desirable Experience

Bronze Commander qualification.

JESIP qualification or experience working within command and control structures.

Corporate Security Institute membership.
-
Experience working in banking, finance, critical infrastructure or multinational corporate environments.

Knowledge of intelligence-led security operations.

Experience supporting security technology platforms and CCTV operations.
Qualifications
Essential

SIA Door Supervisor Licence.

First Aid at Work Qualification.

Full UK Right to Work.

Competent user of Microsoft Office Suite.
