We're looking for a collaborative and outcome focused People Business Partner to join our People & Culture team. This is an exciting opportunity to partner with senior leaders, shape people strategies, organisational change and workforce planning initiatives, and lead on complex employee relations.
Working 29 hours per week, this role offers flexibility to spread your hours across 4 or 5 days, (working pattern to be agreed with the successful candidate), allowing you to balance professional impact with personal commitments.
About the Role
Reporting to the Director of People, you'll work as a true business partner, becoming an extension of your designated leadership teams. You'll help leaders navigate people challenges, develop local people plans and implement strategic initiatives that support organisational success.
You'll also lead and oversee a high-quality people advisory service, coach managers to build their people leadership capability and provide expert guidance on complex employee relations matters.
What You'll Be Doing
- Partnering with leaders to deliver people solutions that support business objectives.
- Leading on complex employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, absence, capability and organisational change matters.
- Coaching and influencing managers to build confidence and capability in people management.
- Supporting workforce planning, talent development and succession planning activities.
- Leading or supporting organisational change programmes, ensuring people considerations remain at the heart of decision-making.
- Building productive relationships with Trade Union representatives and key stakeholders.
- Using people data and insight to identify trends, inform decisions and drive continuous improvement.
- Contributing to the development of people policies, procedures and best practice approaches.
About You
You'll be an experienced HR professional with a strong generalist background and a passion for partnering with leaders to achieve great outcomes.
You'll bring:
- CIPD Level 5 qualification, Associate CIPD membership or equivalent experience.
- Significant experience managing complex employee relations casework.
- Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practice.
- Experience supporting organisational change, consultation and engagement activities.
- Exceptional influencing, coaching and stakeholder management skills.
- Confidence in analysing and interpreting people data to support evidence-based decisions.
- A pragmatic, solutions-focused approach and the ability to balance business needs with colleague experience.

Shortlisting and Selection
Shortlisting will take place on 2nd September, with interviews scheduled for 8th and 9th September.
