By immersing yourself into the world of problem solving for mortgages and secured loans you will undertake comprehensive training to develop the skills and understanding to be able to support the Complex Case Manager in ensuring cases pass from enquiry to completion smoothy, compliantly and to company standards.
In time, once you have developed the skills and the confidence, you will work independently with mortgage advisors and administration staff to handle all standard, non-standard and specialist lending scenarios.
Core Responsibilities:
- Work alongside the Complex Case Manager to absorb their decades of experience, and to understand the wider context of problem solving secured lending applications and learn how to effectively progress cases to completion.
- Undertake continuous training to improve your knowledge and understanding of all aspects the mortgage journey. Helping staff to navigate cases from enquiry, through onboarding, through fitting lender criteria, through resolution of underwriting queries, through overcoming legal complications, and to completion.
- Support the Complex Case Manager in feeding back information and solutions to mortgage advisors, processors and completion officers, to help progress customers cases as smoothly as possible.
Development Plan:
A comprehensive training plan will be provided, including areas such as:
- Reviewing clients circumstances and eligibility
- Researching lenders and criteria
- Training on property suitability
- Training in Land Registry matters and understanding legal complications
- Mentoring from experienced case manager and other stakeholders within the business
- Exposure to increasingly complex cases over time
- Working towards managing the progression of cases independently

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you'll ideally have:
- Previous experience within the mortgage industry.
- Secured loan experience (desirable).
- Experience in secured lending packaging and/or underwriting (desirable).
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A natural problem-solving mindset with the ability to think logically and find solutions to complex scenarios.
- The ability to research information and apply your findings to real-life lending cases.
- A willingness to learn, take feedback, and adapt as the role develops.
- A genuine interest in building a long-term career within the mortgage and secured lending industry.
- Confidence working collaboratively within a team while also developing the ability to work independently.
- CeMAP (or equivalent) is advantageous but not essential.
- The ability and willingness to work full-time from our office. This is an office-based role and home or hybrid working is not available due to the hands-on nature of the training.

Pay: £26,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
