Duties
- Assist in food preparation by chopping, mixing, and assembling ingredients according to recipes and standards
- Support the cooking process by following instructions from the head chef and ensuring timely meal production
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and workstations
- Follow food safety protocols diligently to ensure all meals are prepared in a hygienic environment
- Help with meal plating and presentation to meet quality standards before serving
- Support serving staff during busy periods by providing prepared dishes promptly and accurately
- Contribute to inventory management by monitoring supplies and notifying management of stock levels or shortages
Experience
- Previous kitchen or restaurant experience is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques and basic cooking skills
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper hygiene practices in a culinary setting
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
- Ability to follow instructions precisely while maintaining a positive attitude
- Strong teamwork skills with excellent communication abilities
- Prior experience in meal preparation or supporting roles in kitchens is advantageous but not essential
