Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Evening Cleaning Operative to join our professional cleaning team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across various commercial premises during evening hours. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with previous janitorial experience or a background in commercial cleaning to contribute to a well-organised and efficient team.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning and sanitisation of commercial spaces, including offices, retail outlets, and industrial sites.
- Use appropriate cleaning equipment and materials to ensure all areas meet health and safety standards.
- Empty bins, dispose of waste responsibly, and replenish supplies as needed.
- Follow specified cleaning schedules and procedures to maintain consistency across all sites.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.
- Adhere to health and safety policies at all times, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a professional attitude whilst working independently or as part of a team.
- Shifts are Monday - Friday 4.30pm - 7.30pm
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently and thoroughly within allocated timeframes.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently during evening shifts.
- Physical stamina to carry out cleaning tasks which may involve lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to cleaning operations is advantageous. This role is ideal for motivated individuals seeking flexible evening hours in a professional environment, with opportunities to utilise existing skills in commercial cleaning or janitorial work.
Pay: £12.71-£13.50 per hour
