Our client, a privately owned and highly respected automotive business, is seeking a MOTOR VEHICLE TECHNICIAN to join their friendly and professional teams at their businesses in St Austell & Truro.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a modern workshop environment, carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs on the dealership's franchise brand, while also benefiting from varied work across a diverse multi-brand used vehicle operation. The Role
As a Motor Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality workmanship and ensuring vehicles are maintained to the highest safety and manufacturer standards.
Key duties include:
- Carrying out vehicle servicing in line with manufacturer guidelines
- Performing routine maintenance and preventative repair work
- Completing a range of inspections, including:
- Vehicle Health Checks
- New Vehicle Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDIs)
- Used Vehicle Multi-Point Inspections
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults
- Undertaking MOT preparation and associated repair work
- Replacing wear-and-tear items including brakes, exhaust systems and suspension components
- Maintaining accurate service and repair records
About You
We're looking for a motivated and reliable Technician who takes pride in delivering quality work and excellent customer outcomes.
You'll ideally have:
- A minimum NVQ Level 2 in Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent)
- Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician in a franchised or independent workshop
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic abilities
- A keen eye for detail and commitment to high standards
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- A full UK driving licence
