NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is seeking a Specialist Paediatric Physiotherapist Respiratory to join our dedicated team at the Royal Hospital for Children. Respiratory on-call evening, weekend and public holiday duties will be required
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver advanced assessment, treatment and management of children and young people with complex respiratory and paediatric conditions

Work autonomously to plan, implement, evaluate and progress individualised physiotherapy treatment programmes
-
Provide specialist advice and support to patients, families, carers and multidisciplinary colleagues
-
Manage a complex clinical caseload, prioritising referrals and ensuring high standards of patient care
-
Participate in service development, clinical audit, research and quality improvement initiatives
-
Supervise, support and develop junior physiotherapy staff, support workers and physiotherapy students
-
Contribute to the respiratory emergency on-call and weekend rota as part of a specialist acute service
Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job:
- Degree or Diploma in Physiotherapy with current HCPC registration

Evidence of relevant postgraduate learning and ongoing Continuing Professional Development within respiratory physiotherapy

Significant post-registration experience working as an autonomous practitioner within a healthcare setting
-
Experience managing respiratory conditions, including participation in respiratory on-call and emergency weekend services

Strong knowledge of paediatric physiotherapy practice, respiratory care and child development
-
Excellent communication, leadership, organisational and team-working skills with the ability to influence and educate others

Experience of multidisciplinary working, service improvement, clinical governance and supervision of students or junior staff
