Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery and Collection Driver to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for loading, unloading and transporting goods between locations efficiently and safely, ensuring timely deliveries and collections. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for driving and supporting a small team.
The position involves regular driving duties, heavy lifting, and effective communication with clients and team members.
Duties
- Safely operate company vehicles, including vans, to deliver used & new goods to specified locations in and around Leicestershire
- Collect items from clients or suppliers.
- Load and unload goods, often requiring heavy lifting and manual handling.
- Plan routes effectively to optimise delivery schedules and minimise delays.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety standards are met and report any issues promptly.
- Communicate professionally with clients regarding delivery times, delays, or issues that may arise during transit.
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and company policies at all times during driving duties.
Requirements
- Experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role.
- Valid driver’s licence suitable for the vehicle type (e.g., car licence or commercial driving licence).
- Experience with commercial driving and knowledge of road safety regulations.
- Warehouse experience is advantageous, particularly in handling goods and heavy lifting.
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when required, maintaining safety standards at all times.
- Organised with excellent time management skills to meet tight schedules.
- Physical fitness suitable for prolonged periods of driving and manual handling tasks.

Pay: £13.00-£13.50 per hour
