We have an opening for a Junior Cafe & Soft Play Assistants, replacing a staff member who is leaving to go to Aberdeen University, for our for a family-run soft play and cafe. We are looking for a hard working, friendly and confident individuals who like to work alongside a small team and with children to compliment our team.
This role is a weekend role, with the hours primarily covering a Saturday from 9.30 to 5.30 however there may be regular additional hours available on a Sunday too, and preference will be given to candidates who can offer flexibility between Saturday and Sundays.
As a Junior Cafe & Soft Play Assistant, cleanliness is your main priority as the main role of this candidtate is to clean and prepare the party room in between parties. This is a vital role as the party room must be in pristine condition, so someone we want to find someone who takes pride in their work. You will also be instrumental in creating a welcoming and engaging environment for children and their families so previous experience of working in a cafe or similar environment with excellent customer service skills is preferred. Candidates must be confident in their own ability and be comfortable having conversations with customers as excellent customer service is required.
The successful applicant will be part of a small, close-nit team who all work hard for each other. An eye for detail and passion for cleanliness is extremely important to us.
Responsibilities
- Clean and prepare our party room
- Assist in the daily operations of the café and soft play area, ensuring a welcoming environment for children and families.
- Provide high-quality customer service, whether this be on the till or while welcoming customers or addressing any issues which may arise.
- Monitoring the soft play to ensure the safety of our customers.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain cleanliness throughout the soft play and cafe areas.
- Support the kitchen team by taking and running orders and maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen.
- Coffee-making training will be provided after a few months.
