About the Team:
XPS Group IT provides IT services to over 2000 employees in offices located across the UK and Ireland. We operate an extensive in-house IT services function including 1st, 2nd and 3rd line support, Cyber Security Services, Application Support and Development. Currently we manage some 500 VM on our internal network across two datacentres but are shifting our focus to Azure services and infrastructure.
We develop software in-house that we can tune to our own processes to give ourselves a competitive advantage. We are run a development team that is focused on pragmatic approaches to real business needs.
Key Responsibilities:

Working with software developers to get an understanding of what the system is meant to do and its functionality.
- Analysing and understanding Test Cases and Use Cases/Requirements for validity and feasibility.
- Collaborate closely with other team members and departments.
- Execute all levels of automation testing (System, Integration, and Regression).
- Design and develop automation scripts to integrate into regression testing repository.
- Detect and track automation software defects and inconsistencies.
- Report progress, risks and defects identified to the software development and project management teams.
- Provide timely solutions.
- Provide support and documentation.
- Familiarity and an open approach to agile development principles such as mob / pair programming, short development cycles, frequent feedback, failing fast, lean concepts, etc.
Due to the changing nature of the business, the job holder may from time to time be required to undertake other activities of a similar nature that fall within their capabilities.
Your Profile:
Essential:
-
4+ years of experience as an Automation QA Tester.
- 2+ years of experience working in the financial sector.
- 1+ years of experience in leveraging AI to efficiently provide robust and scalable testing frameworks.
- Experience in building out a testing library within Cypress, comprising of Unit, Component and End to End Scripts.
- Ability to work autonomously and in a team.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Ability to solve complex problems.
- Determination and tenacity to commit to the end when solving issues.
- Must be able to work competently within Quality Assurance testing team.
- Must be able to share knowledge and skills with others in the team.
Desirable:

Experience working in the Pensions financial sector.
- Previous experience as a Software Engineer desirable.
