No1 Solar Care is the South Coast's solar maintenance specialist. We look after solar systems across Dorset and Hampshire with servicing, repairs, testing and upgrades. Demand is growing fast and we're looking for a qualified electrician to run our inspections and repairs. This is proper testing and maintenance work you can take pride in, not chasing rewires.
What you'll be doing
- Inspecting and testing customers' solar panel systems to check they're safe and running at full output
- Fault-finding and repairs on inverters, isolators, DC strings and monitoring
- Pricing up any repair or upgrade work the system needs
- Running a local patch across Dorset and Hampshire, working solo and self-managed
What you'll need
- NVQ Level 3 in electrical installation (or equivalent, e.g. C&G 2357/5357)
- 18th Edition BS 7671 (C&G 2382), current amendment
- C&G 2391 Inspection & Testing, essential as you'll be signing off the reports
- Full UK driving licence
- Solar PV experience is a bonus, not a must. We'll fund your PV course if you've got the appetite to learn
Nice to have (we'll pay more for these): solar PV, battery storage (EESS) or EV charger qualifications, and roof or working at height experience.
