Duties
- Assist in food preparation and cooking under the supervision of senior staff to ensure timely service
- Support food safety practices by maintaining cleanliness and proper storage of ingredients and equipment
- Help with food production tasks such as portioning, garnishing, and plating dishes according to standards
- Contribute to a positive team environment by collaborating with kitchen staff and front-of-house personnel
- Serve customers in a friendly manner when required, ensuring excellent hospitality standards are met
- Support supervising team members in managing daily kitchen operations and ensuring smooth workflow
- Follow all health and safety regulations diligently to uphold high standards of cleanliness and safety
Experience
- Previous experience in a food production or kitchen environment is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential
- Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen safety protocols
- Experience working in hospitality or restaurant settings is advantageous
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team and support leadership roles
- Familiarity with food safety standards and procedures related to food handling and sanitation
- Prior supervising or team management experience is a plus but not mandatory; leadership potential is valued
- Strong communication skills with the ability to serve customers professionally when needed
