We are looking for a number of Class 2 vacuum tanker drivers due to continued expansion. You will be based either from our Poole depot on the Nuffield Industrial Estate or our Andover operating centre, working across the region, occasionally supporting other branches when demand requires.
This is a 18T Truck you will be allocated and is a customer facing role servicing domestic and commercial customers across the south coast. (You will either be in a year old Mercedes or a brand new Volvo) This is a physical job, and you will need to have a high level of driving skill with excellent spacial awareness.
You must have a current CPC and drivers card. Additionally, due to insurance constraints, a minimum of two years HGV driving experience is required.
Our work is varied and includes contracts with Wessex Water, Bournemouth International Airport, South Western Railways and a number of other 'Blue Chip' companies as well as domestic septic tanks, cess pits and grease traps for Public Houses and Restaurants.
We have a modern fleet comprising 4, 6 and 8 wheelers with 'one truck, one driver' operation. The current fleet is primarily a mix of Mercedes and Scania with Whale or VJ Engineering tanks.
Whilst Vacuum tanker experience is preferred, we are happy to provide familiarisation training.
We offer good hourly rates with opportunity for additional overtime, standby and call out earnings at enhanced rates.
A solid understanding of the Working Time Directive (Hours) and Tachograph working is essential. We operate our business delivery utilising various apps which are phone / tablet actioned. This includes walk round checks and job cards, so being technology aware is highly beneficial.
