Overview
We are seeking skilled / experienced Wall & Floor Tilers to join our team on fixed term self employed basis completing commercial interior Fit out large scale project available to start ASAP.
The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for detail, ensuring that all tile installations are completed to the highest standards.
You will be responsible for laying tiles on floors, walls, and other surfaces working with Ceramic, Porclain & Terazzo materials to complete according to detailed drawings. This role requires both technical skills and good communication and interpersonal skills.
Duties
- Measure and cut tiles to fit around obstacles and into irregular spaces, using hand tools, power tools, and tile cutters.
- Prepare surfaces for tiling by cleaning, leveling, and applying adhesive as needed.
- Lay tiles in accordance with design specifications, ensuring proper alignment and spacing.
- Grout tiles after installation to create a water-resistant seal.
- Inspect completed work for quality assurance and make necessary adjustments.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure smooth project execution.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition and adhere to safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Tiler or similar role is preferred.
- Strong understanding of tile types, adhesives, grouting materials, and installation techniques.
- Ability to read drawings and design plans accurately.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
- Physical stamina and strength to perform manual tasks for extended periods.
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- CSCS Card required.
- A valid driver’s licence is advantageous along with own transport
