The role
We are seeking a motivated & inspirational Lecturer in Uniformed Protective Services to join our team. You will deliver Level 1 to Level 3 accredited qualifications within the Public Services curriculum, working with 16–18 learners & 19+ adult cohorts.
This role is ideal for someone with a background in the Armed Forces or Uniformed Services (Army, RAF, Navy or similar), alongside a strong sport or physical training background, who is passionate about developing discipline, leadership, resilience & teamwork in young people.
You will be responsible for planning & delivering engaging lessons, assessing learner progress, & preparing students for progression into employment, higher education, or further training within the uniformed services sector.

We are looking for a professional, confident & enthusiastic lecturer who:
Has experience of teaching, learning & assessment within a Further Education setting
Has knowledge & understanding of working with 16–18 year olds & adult learners
Is passionate about the Uniformed Protective Services & learner achievement
Can inspire students through engaging, innovative & inclusive teaching
What you will bring
For this role, you will:
Hold a minimum Level 3 Public Services qualification
Have a background in the Uniformed Services (Army, RAF, Navy or similar) – desirable
Bring a sport or physical training background, supporting fitness, leadership & teamwork
Have experience delivering to 16–18 & 19+ learners within the FE sector
Be able to create & deliver outstanding teaching, learning & assessment
Be committed to ensuring all learners make excellent progress
Be adaptable & able to work effectively in a demanding & changing environment
Demonstrate current knowledge & use of digital technologies in teaching & assessment
Hold, or be willing to work towards, a Level 5 teaching qualification (e.g. Cert Ed, PGCE or equivalent)
