We're looking for a friendly, organised, and proactive Receptionist & Office Administrator to join our team on a fixed-term maternity cover contract. As the first point of contact for visitors, customers, and contractors, you'll play a key role in creating a professional and welcoming environment while providing vital administrative support across the business.
About the Role
Working onsite from 08:30am – 5:00pm, you'll be responsible for managing front-of-house operations and supporting various departments with administrative tasks. This is a varied role that combines reception duties, office administration, facilities coordination, and general business support.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome visitors, clients, and contractors professionally and courteously.
- Manage visitor sign-in processes and verify contractor identification.
- Liaise with the Security Team regarding visitor and contractor approvals.
- Answer and direct incoming telephone calls.
- Manage shared email inboxes and respond promptly to enquiries.
- Provide administrative support across multiple departments.
- Arrange catering for meetings and company events.
- Ensure meeting rooms are clean, organised, and appropriately scheduled.
- Support Finance and Procurement teams with purchasing and administrative activities.
- Order and manage office supplies, stationery, and refreshments.
- Coordinate cleaning services and report facilities-related issues.
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in a receptionist, front-of-house, or administrative role
- Professional, friendly, and confident dealing with people at all levelsHighly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Able to manage multiple priorities in a busy office environmentProficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- A strong communicator, both verbally and in writing
- Reliable, flexible, and able to use initiativeComfortable with occasional manual handling as part of a varied roleDesirable
- Experience using visitor management systems.
- Familiarity with security procedures and access control processes.
