We are looking for an experienced Manufacturing Technician / Production Operative to join our production team and help maintain our high standards of quality and craftsmanship.
Role Overview
This is a hands-on manufacturing role suited to someone with experience in construction product manufacturing, fenestration, glazing, aluminium fabrication, or a similar industry. The successful candidate will play a key role in producing bespoke secondary glazing units while supporting quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement across the factory.
Key Responsibilities
- Manufacture and assemble bespoke secondary glazing units to specification.
- Assemble aluminium frames, install glazing, seals, gaskets, and hardware.
- Operate manufacturing equipment including saws, CNC machinery, and fabrication tools.
- Read and work from technical drawings and production instructions.
- Carry out quality checks throughout the production process.
- Safely handle materials and prepare finished products for dispatch.
- Work across different production areas as required to support business needs.
- Follow all Health & Safety, Quality, and Environmental procedures.
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Proven experience within a manufacturing, fabrication, or construction products environment.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and production machinery.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good understanding of health and safety requirements.
- Reliable, proactive, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Desirable
- Experience within the fenestration industry, including windows, doors, glazing, or aluminium systems.
- Experience with aluminium fabrication and CNC machinery.
Working Hours
- Factory-based role in Dinnington.
- Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 4:00pm.
- Applicants must live within a commutable distance.
Salary: Competitive and dependent on experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £12.71-£13.00 per hour
