We are seeking a passionate and experienced Starter/Sweet Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of starters and sweet dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Supervise and oversee the food production process, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish served
- Manage kitchen operations during service periods, including coordinating with other chefs and kitchen staff
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations at all times
- Assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment
- Monitor stock levels, organise ingredients, and ensure timely replenishment of supplies
- Ensure all dishes are prepared efficiently to meet service deadlines without compromising quality
- Uphold high standards of cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen area
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or culinary roles within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Supervising experience or team management skills are highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide team members
- Experience in food production, serving, and kitchen operations is preferred
