Responsibilities
Operate and maintain various farm equipment, including power tools and machinery, performing routine repairs and troubleshooting mechanical issues.
Perform heavy lifting tasks such as moving feed or supplies safely and efficiently.
Care for farm animals by feeding, cleaning enclosures, and monitoring their health to promote well-being.
Conduct routine maintenance on farm infrastructure including fences, gates, and dry stone walls to prevent issues before they arise.
Utilize hand tools for various tasks such as digging, clipping, or repairing equipment with precision and safety.
Work with robotic milking equipment, maintaining cleanliness and performance.
Experience
Previous experience working on a farm or in an agricultural environment is required; willingness to learn is highly valued.
Basic knowledge of field boundary maintenance is advantageous.
Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and equipment repair techniques is necessary.
Ability to perform physical tasks involving heavy lifting and prolonged outdoor activity is essential.
Understanding of animal care practices will support your success in maintaining farm productivity.
Basic math skills are necessary for measuring inputs like fertilizer or adjusting feed mixes
