Philip Hardy Recruitment are searching for an experienced HVAC Sales & Applications Engineer to join our client, one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of heating, ventilation and air conditioning equipment, based within the West Bromwich area.

You’ll use your proven previous experience as a HVAC Sales & Applications Engineer to use Air Handling Unit (AHU) selection software to design equipment and engineer solutions based on customer needs.
The successful candidate will have experience in a similar or related role (i.e. applications, design, estimating, technical support, etc).
A good understanding of refrigeration systems would be preferred but not essential as on the job training would be offered.
This is an office-based position at the company headquarters near West Bromwich, working Monday to Friday and offering excellent career progression opportunities.

Responsibilities:
- Preparing accurate estimates, quotations and detailed technical specifications.
- Selecting components that offer the right balance of performance, cost, and availability.
- Processing projects through our client’s ERP system (M1) to ensure smooth handover to production.
- Keeping project data up to date, including bills of materials.
- Communicating with clients via email, phone, Teams and meetings to understand their requirements.
- Working closely with other departments to keep projects moving efficiently.
- Carrying out occasional site surveys before and after orders.
You will need:
- Ideally some exposure to the HVAC or refrigeration industry.
- A basic understanding of AHU products and associated services.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office.
- Experience with an ERP system software (M1 experience is helpful but not essential).
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with customers.
- A qualification in mechanical, electrical, or a related engineering discipline would be a strong advantage, but practical experience and enthusiasm are equally valued.
Pay: £40,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
