Overview
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Dispatch Controller to oversee the efficient coordination of transportation and logistics operations within our organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing dispatch schedules, liaising with drivers, and ensuring the timely delivery of goods. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong communication skills and a background in supply chain - motor factor management to contribute to our operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily dispatch activities using transportation management systems and other relevant software such as MAM.
- Monitor and optimise dispatch processes to ensure timely deliveries - driver management.
- Maintain accurate data entry related to dispatch schedules, delivery tracking, and inventory updates.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, warehouse staff, and clients to facilitate smooth operations.
- Analyse logistics data to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
- Utilise analysis skills to resolve scheduling conflicts and troubleshoot logistical issues promptly.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations during dispatch operations.
- Maintain professional phone etiquette when liaising with internal teams and external partners.
Requirements
- Proven experience with transportation management systems, supply chain operations, or logistics coordination.
- Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets accurately.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a professional phone manner.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working within logistics or transportation sectors is desirable but not essential. This role is ideal for motivated individuals seeking a dynamic position within a busy logistics environment where attention to detail and effective communication are paramount.
Pay: £28,000.00-£29,500.00 per year
