The Opportunity:
- SEN Learning Support Assistant
- £500-£530 per week (term-time only)
- Secondary School in Weston-Super-Mare
- Full-time role, Monday to Friday, for the full academic year
- Start ASAP September 2026

What We’re Looking For:
- A degree (2:2 or above), with a genuine passion for supporting students with learning difficulties
- Previous experience working with young people with learning difficulties (preferred but not essential)
- Friendly, confident, and enthusiastic personality
- Commitment to inclusion and equal opportunities
- Ability to relate to young people, with an understanding of their needs
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students with their personal needs and implement related programmes (you’ll need to be comfortable with personal care tasks)
- Provide support for individual students inside and outside the classroom to ensure they fully participate in activities
- Build positive, respectful relationships with students, supporting their emotional and academic growth
- Maintain high expectations that every student will make sustained progress both academically and personally
- Support students to be ready for the next steps in their learning and to contribute confidently to classroom activities
