Overview
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant as an addition to our growing family business. The ideal candidate will possess strong computer skills and have experience in administrative tasks, ensuring smooth operations and effective communication within the organisation. This role is essential for maintaining efficient office functions and providing excellent support to staff and customers alike.

Responsibilities
- Manage daily office operations, including scheduling appointments and coordinating meetings
- Handle incoming calls with professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette
- Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently, ensuring all records are up to date
- Assist with bookkeeping tasks using Xero, including invoicing and expense tracking
- Prepare documents using Microsoft Office and Google Workspace applications
- Maintain filing systems, both electronic and paper-based, ensuring easy retrieval of information
- Support team members with clerical duties as needed, fostering a collaborative work environment
- Organise office supplies and inventory, ensuring that the workplace is well-equipped
Requirements
- Previous office experience is essential, with a background in administrative roles preferred
- Proficient computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent typing skills with attention to detail for accurate data entry
- Experience with Xero or similar accounting software is advantageous
- Demonstrated clerical experience in an office setting is desirable
- Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients at all levels
