Refrigeration & Air Conditioning PPM Engineer
Location: Manchester (UK WIDE)
Package:
- Salary up to £40,000, depending on experience
- 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
- Door-to-door travel paid
- 1 in 6 on-call rota
- Overtime paid at x1.5 / x2

As a Refrigeration & Air Conditioning PPM Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out scheduled preventative maintenance visits, helping to ensure customers' equipment remains safe, reliable and operating efficiently. The role will be approximately 80% refrigeration and 20% air conditioning.
Your Role
You will carry out planned maintenance across a variety of commercial refrigeration and air conditioning systems, including:
- Completing scheduled PPM visits in line with customer maintenance programmes
- Carrying out routine inspections and preventative maintenance checks
- Checking equipment performance, operation and overall condition
- Identifying potential faults and issues before they lead to equipment failure
- Recording maintenance activities and completing service documentation accurately
- Ensuring equipment is maintained in line with manufacturer recommendations and relevant industry standards
- Maintaining high levels of customer service while working across customer sites
- Working predominantly on commercial refrigeration equipment, with some air conditioning maintenance
- Supporting the wider engineering team and responding to maintenance requirements as needed

What We're Looking For
- F-Gas CAT 1 qualification – essential
- NVQ Level 2 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning – desirable
- Full UK driving licence
- Previous experience working within commercial refrigeration and air conditioning
- Experience carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
- Good understanding of refrigeration and AC equipment and maintenance requirements
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying potential issues
- Professional and customer-focused approach
