SEN Practitioner – Freelance / Part-Time

We are a growing SEN education and activity centre in Enfield looking for caring, enthusiastic and reliable practitioners to work with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
We are looking for practitioners for different areas of our programme. You can apply for one or more of the following roles depending on your experience and skills:
1. 1-to-1 SEN Learning Practitioner
Qualification required: NO
You will work individually with children and deliver structured table-based activities, educational support, communication activities and learning tasks.
Previous experience working with children or SEN is preferred, but a formal teaching qualification is not required.
2. Floor Time / Play Practitioner
Qualification required: NO
You will work through play, child-led activities and interaction to support children’s communication, engagement and social development.
Experience with children with SEN, autism or developmental needs is desirable. Floor Time training is an advantage but is not essential.
3. SEN Sports & Physical Activity Practitioner
Qualification required: NO
You will deliver 1-to-1 and small-group sports and physical activities adapted to children’s individual abilities.
Experience in sports, PE, fitness, coaching or working with children is preferred. SEN experience is an advantage.
4. SEN Group Activity Practitioner
Qualification required: NO
You will support or lead small-group sessions involving activities such as sports, movement, games, art, music and social activities.
Experience working with children and managing small groups is preferred.
5. SEN Support / Behaviour Practitioner
Qualification required: NO
You will support children with their communication, behaviour, engagement and participation during individual and group sessions.
Experience working with SEN, autism or behaviour support is highly desirable.
Professional Therapy Roles
We are also interested in hearing from appropriately qualified professionals who may be interested in working with our centre on a freelance basis:
Speech & Language Therapist (SLT)Qualification required: YES
Applicants must hold the appropriate professional qualification and UK registration required to practise as a Speech & Language Therapist.
Occupational Therapist (OT)Qualification required: YES
Applicants must hold the appropriate professional qualification and UK registration required to practise as an Occupational Therapist.
These professional therapy roles are separate from our SEN Practitioner positions.
What We Are Looking For
We are particularly interested in applicants who:
- Speak both Turkish and English
- Have experience working with children
- Have experience with SEN, autism or additional needs
- Are patient, caring and enthusiastic
- Can build positive relationships with children and families
- Are reliable and professional
- Can work independently
- Are comfortable working on a 1-to-1 or small-group basis
For the SEN Practitioner roles, a formal teaching qualification is NOT required.
Relevant experience in childcare, education, sports, coaching, teaching assistance, SEN support or working with children is highly valued.
Working Hours
Flexible part-time and freelance opportunities are available.
Sessions may include weekday and/or weekend work, depending on availability and the needs of the centre.
The exact role and responsibilities will depend on your experience, skills and area of expertise.
