Job Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring the site, preventing theft or damage, and responding promptly to emergencies. Duties
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to deter unauthorised access and identify potential security risks.
- Monitor surveillance systems, including CCTV cameras, to oversee activity across the site.
- Enforce loss prevention policies by observing suspicious behaviour and intervening when necessary.
- Maintain a visible presence at key points such as entrances, exits, and restricted areas.
- Respond swiftly and appropriately to emergencies, including medical incidents, by providing first aid if required.
- Record all incidents accurately in detailed reports and communicate effectively with relevant authorities or management.
- Control access points by verifying identification and issuing visitor passes as needed.
- Ensure the security equipment is functioning correctly and report any faults or concerns promptly.
Skills
- Proven experience with surveillance systems and CCTV operation.
- Strong understanding of loss prevention techniques and security protocols.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure while responding to emergencies or disturbances.
- Basic first aid skills, with certification preferred.
- Excellent observational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Good communication skills for effective reporting and liaising with team members or emergency services.
