Job Summary
SPI Global Play is looking for a reliable and hardworking Production Operative to join our manufacturing team. The role will primarily involve working with steel components used in the production of high-quality play and recreational equipment. The successful candidate will also be cross-trained across other areas of the factory to support production demands.
Responsibilities
- Manufacturing and assembling steel components in line with drawings and specifications
- Operating hand tools and machinery safely and efficiently
- Preparing, handling, and finishing steel materials (cutting, drilling, grinding, etc.)
- Supporting other production areas as required through cross-training
- Carrying out quality checks to ensure products meet company standards
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work environment
- Following health & safety procedures at all times
- Working as part of a team to meet production targets and deadlines
Experience
- Previous experience working with steel or in a manufacturing/production environment (preferred but not essential)
- Ability to use hand tools and basic machinery
- Willingness to learn and be trained in multiple factory processes
- Good attention to detail and quality
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual work
Additional Requirements
- A DBS check will be required as part of the recruitment process
