Stanford Coachworks and Mobility Services Limited is one of the leading vehicle converters in the UK with vehicles being built and suppled to customers all over the British Isles. An opportunity has arisen to join the team at Stanford Coachworks as a vehicle valeter / PDI assistant (Pre Delivery Inspection).
The candidate would be working under close supervision of the PDI Manager cleaning and checking the vehicles at the end of build at our workshops in Stanford Le Hope. The candidate would be expected to have an understanding of check sheets and quality control, reporting any defects in the vehicles conversion to the PDI manager. A knowledge of mechanics is not necessary for this role, however an understanding of how things are built, i.e auto electrics, carpentry, etc would be ideal.
Previous valeting experience would be beneficial as this would occupy most of the candidates working day, cleaning and prepping the vehicles prior to delivery. This would involve washing the vehicles exterior outside in all weather conditions.
The role is very important in our business as it is the last check point before our customer receives their vehicle.
This role would ideally suit someone from a background working in quality control or valeting, a keen eye for detail is a must. The candidate must be hard working and have good communication skills as they will be working as part of a team in our dedicated PDI bay.
A D1 driving license is not essential but would be a positive as the role may require some driving of the vehicles.
We take huge pride in our converted vehicles here and the candidate would be expected to work with that frame of mind at all times.
Normal working hours are Monday to Friday 08.00 - 17.00. Weekends are not required.
