Responsibilities
- Assemble and install vehicle bodies, ensuring all components meet design specifications and safety standards
- Use hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, fit, and secure structural parts of commercial vehicle bodies
- Perform heavy lifting tasks safely to move large panels, frames, and equipment during construction processes
- Conduct inspections throughout the build process to ensure quality control and adherence to project requirements
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and implement effective solutions during assembly
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency on the shop floor
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures diligently to prevent accidents and injuries
Qualifications
- Mechanical knowledge with experience in vehicle or metal fabrication is highly preferred
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, hammers, etc.
- Experience operating power tools like drills, grinders, saws, and pneumatic equipment
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently as part of daily tasks
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship
- Prior experience in commercial vehicle or body building industries is a plus but not mandatory
- Commitment to working safely in a fast-paced environment
