About the Role
We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced HGV Class 1 Shunter. This role involves the safe and efficient movement of vehicles and materials across our site, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Shunting HGV Class 1 vehicles safely around the yard and site
- Positioning vehicles for loading and unloading
- Conducting daily vehicle checks and reporting defects
- Working closely with yard operatives, dispatch, and production teams
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised yard environment
- Adhering to all health & safety regulations and company procedures
Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous shunting or yard experience (preferred, but not essential)
- Good awareness of health & safety practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexible approach to working hours, including early starts or shifts
