Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Systems Integrations Specialist to join our innovative IT team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of designing, implementing, and maintaining complex system integrations across diverse platforms and technologies. Your expertise will ensure seamless communication between applications, optimize system performance, and support our organization’s digital transformation initiatives.
Duties
- Develop, test, and deploy system integration solutions utilizing APIs, web services (REST and SOAP), and other communication protocols to connect various enterprise applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into effective system architecture designs that support business objectives.
- Configure and manage cloud-based infrastructure on platforms such as AWS and Azure, ensuring high availability, security, and scalability of integrated systems.
- Maintain and enhance system performance through load balancing, virtualization (VMware, ESXi), container orchestration (Kubernetes), and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using tools like Jenkins and Git.
- Troubleshoot complex issues related to network configurations, firewalls, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, and operating systems (Windows, Linux, UNIX).
- Implement security best practices for information security, including firewall management, VPN setup, and system hardening measures.
- Document system architecture diagrams, integration workflows, and operational procedures to ensure clarity and compliance with SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience in systems engineering with a strong understanding of system design principles and solution architecture.
- Proficiency in computer networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, load balancing, firewalls, and network security protocols.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure for deploying scalable solutions.
- Strong knowledge of databases including SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server), NoSQL (MongoDB), and data modeling techniques.
- Programming skills in Python, JavaScript, C#, Java, Ruby on Rails or C++, along with shell scripting (Bash) for automation tasks.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware ESXi or Hyper-V; containerization tools like Docker or Kubernetes.
- Experience working with web services including RESTful APIs and SOAP; knowledge of microservices architecture is a plus.
- Ability to perform debugging and troubleshooting across multiple operating systems including Windows and Linux/UNIX environments.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or similar tools; version control with Git is essential.
Pay: £50,000.00 per year
