CLOTHING MODEL & E-COMMERCE ASSISTANT – VNTG GIRL
Pay: £12.00 per hour

Hours: Approximately 5–30+ hours per week

ABOUT VNTG GIRL
VNTG GIRL is a growing online women's vintage clothing business specialising in branded vintage fashion, particularly Ralph Lauren.
We're looking for a fun, friendly and reliable Clothing Model & E-commerce Assistant to help photograph our clothing for online listings and assist with the day-to-day running of the business.
THE ROLE
A main part of the role involves wearing, styling and photographing our vintage clothing for online product listings.
This isn't a professional fashion modelling or photoshoot role.
The photos we're looking for are simple, natural and aesthetic — think casual mirror/self-shot outfit photos with flattering poses and angles that make the clothing look attractive while still clearly showing the item.
You'll be provided with reference photos showing the poses, angles and overall style we're looking for, so you'll have clear examples to follow.
You don't need professional modelling or photography experience. We're more interested in someone with a good eye for fashion and styling who can recreate the look we're after.
STYLING DIFFERENT SIZES
Our vintage stock typically ranges from XS–L.
As you'll be wearing the actual garments we're selling for the photographs, you'll need to be able to comfortably wear the smaller sizes within our range.
Not every garment will be your usual size, so you'll need to be comfortable creatively styling different sizes and fits so they photograph well.
This might include:
- Tucking or adjusting oversized garments
- Rolling or adjusting sleeves
- Layering pieces
- Styling garments around the waist where appropriate
- Creating intentional oversized or relaxed looks
- Choosing flattering poses and angles
- Adjusting how a garment sits for the photograph
You don't need every garment to fit perfectly. What's important is being able to make each piece look attractive while still accurately representing the garment and its fit to buyers.
OTHER PARTS OF THE JOB
Alongside clothing photography, you'll also help with the day-to-day running of the business, including:
- Preparing clothing for photography
- Organising and numbering stock
- Bagging and storing photographed items
- Locating sold items from storage
- Picking and packing customer orders
- Preparing parcels and shipping labels
- Keeping the stock and photography areas organised
- Helping with other general e-commerce tasks
There's plenty of variety in the role and the opportunity to become involved in more areas of the business over time.
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We're looking for someone who is fun, friendly, positive and easy to get along with, with an interest in fashion and styling.
Ideally, you'll be:
- Comfortable wearing women's clothing for product photos
- Able to comfortably wear the smaller sizes within our XS–L stock range
- Creative with simple styling and posing
- Able to follow reference photos and recreate the look we're after
- Comfortable taking good-quality smartphone photos
- Reliable and organised
- Happy to help with packing, stock organisation and other tasks
- Comfortable working independently when required
- Flexible with your availability
Previous experience in modelling, fashion, styling, photography or e-commerce is helpful but not essential.
We're much more interested in finding someone who's friendly, reliable, has a good eye for clothes and is willing to learn.
HOURS & FLEXIBILITY
This is a flexible zero-hours contract, designed to work around your availability.
There are approximately 5–30+ hours of work available per week, depending on your availability and how many hours you'd like to work.
Your hours can include a mixture of clothing photography, preparing new stock, organising inventory, picking and packing customer orders, preparing parcels and other general e-commerce work.
There is potential for the role and hours to grow as VNTG GIRL continues to expand.
PAID TRIAL
Suitable applicants may initially be invited to a paid trial session.
You'll be provided with a selection of our clothing in different sizes, along with reference photos showing the photography style we're looking for.
The trial gives us a chance to see how you approach styling different garments, recreating the reference poses and taking the photos.
If we're a good fit, we're looking for someone who can work with us on an ongoing basis.
