We are looking for a hardworking, reliable and customer-focused Collection Driver to join our team.
The Role
As a Collection Driver, you will be responsible for carrying out daily collections from our customers using a 3.5-tonne collection vehicle. This is a physically demanding role that requires you to manually load PVC window frames, doors and associated materials onto the vehicle without assistance before returning them safely to our recycling facility.
You will become the face of Recycling PVC Ltd, visiting many of our regular customers and building strong professional relationships. A positive attitude, excellent customer service and a willingness to work hard are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out daily collections from customer sites using a 3.5-tonne collection vehicle.
- Independently hand-load PVC window frames, doors and associated materials onto the vehicle.
- Safely transport collected materials back to our recycling facility.
- Learn and follow collection routes efficiently.
- Build and maintain excellent relationships with customers.
- Complete collection paperwork accurately.
- Maintain collection records and documentation.
- Handle customer payments where required, ensuring all monies are accounted for correctly.
- Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and report any defects.
- Keep the vehicle clean, tidy and presentable.
- Represent Recycling PVC Ltd professionally at all times.
Essential Requirements
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Applicants must be 25 years of age or over due to our vehicle insurance requirements.
- Excellent level of physical fitness and ability to undertake heavy manual handling throughout the working day.
- Comfortable working independently and managing your own workload.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Honest, trustworthy and confident handling cash payments.
- Reliable, punctual and organised.
- A positive attitude with a strong work ethic.
Desirable
- Previous experience driving a 3.5-tonne vehicle.
- Experience in a collections, delivery or logistics role.
- Knowledge of safe manual handling techniques.

Pay: £28,119.04 per year
