Vehicle Damage Assessor (VDA) G&B Accident Repair Centre Ltd – Glasgow Full Time | Permanent Salary: £40,000–£45,000 per year, depending on experience G&B Accident Repair Centre is a busy, independent, family-run bodyshop established in 2013. Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Vehicle Damage Assessor (VDA) to join our team in Glasgow.
The Role You will be responsible for managing vehicle damage assessments from initial inspection through to repair authorisation, working closely with our workshop team, customers and insurance companies.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out accurate vehicle damage assessments
- Producing detailed repair estimates using Audatex
- Identifying correct manufacturer repair methods and procedures
- Liaising and negotiating with insurance engineers and work providers
- Managing supplementary estimates and additional damage
- Ensuring correct labour, paint, parts and repair operations are included
- Working closely with our panel, paint and MET departments
- Monitoring jobs to ensure estimates remain accurate throughout the repair
- Maintaining high standards of documentation and compliance
- Helping maximise repair efficiency while ensuring quality and safety are never compromised
What We're Looking For The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience as a VDA/Bodyshop Estimator
- Strong knowledge of modern accident repair methods
- Experience using Audatex Good understanding of manufacturer repair methods
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a busy bodyshop team
- Strong attention to detail ATA/IMI VDA accreditation preferred
- Knowledge of BS 10125:2022 requirements would be advantageous
