Following a successful summer school at Chippendale Pool, Bambers Inclusive Swimming is expanding our Otley sessions from September and we're looking for new people to join our team.
We specialise in inclusive swimming lessons and work with swimmers who may struggle with a traditional or mainstream approach to swimming teaching. We're looking for people who are enthusiastic, patient and willing to think outside the box.
We're looking for
We'd love to hear from:
- Qualified swimming teachers looking for regular Saturday afternoon teaching
- People aged 16+ who are interested in training to become a swimming teacher
- Teachers interested in developing their experience of inclusive and SEND swimming
Experience working with disabled or neurodiverse swimmers is welcome, but isn't essential. More important to us is finding the right people who are willing to learn and adapt their teaching to the individual swimmer.

Swimming Teacher Training Bursaries
For the right candidates, Bambers Inclusive Swimming can fund your swimming teacher qualification.
In return, we would agree a set number of teaching hours with Bambers once you are qualified. This is a great opportunity for someone aged 16+ who is interested in becoming a swimming teacher but for whom the cost of training might otherwise be a barrier.
About Bambers Inclusive Swimming
Bambers Inclusive Swimming takes a different approach to swimming lessons. We work with swimmers as individuals and adapt our teaching around how they learn best, rather than expecting every swimmer to fit into the same teaching method.
Our team includes experienced swimming teachers and an Occupational Therapist, giving our teachers the opportunity to learn from different approaches and develop their own skills.
