Overview - YOU DO NOT NEED DENTAL EXPERIENCE FOR THIS
We are seeking a highly organised and dedicated Dental Laboratory Manager to oversee daily operations within our medical or research laboratory. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of laboratory activities, maintaining high standards of patient care, and supporting a team of healthcare professionals. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills to contribute to vital healthcare services. Training will be provided the shifts will be from 4pm - 9pm everyday Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the laboratory, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Supervise laboratory staff, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
- Coordinate patient care activities in collaboration with nursing and medical teams.
- Oversee sample collection, processing, and analysis to guarantee accuracy and efficiency.
- Maintain detailed records of laboratory activities, results, and equipment maintenance.
- Ensure all laboratory procedures adhere to relevant legal and ethical standards.
- Implement quality control measures to uphold high standards of service delivery.
- Manage inventory levels of supplies and reagents, placing orders as necessary.
- Support IT systems related to laboratory data management and reporting.
- Foster effective communication within the team and with external healthcare providers.
Requirements
- Proven experience in patient care within a healthcare setting, preferably with a background in nursing or clinical support roles.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of IT systems utilised in laboratory environments for data management and reporting.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience supervising a team of healthcare professionals or technicians.
- Good understanding of laboratory safety protocols and quality assurance processes.
- Relevant qualifications in healthcare or laboratory sciences are desirable but not essential. This role is vital for maintaining high standards of patient care through effective laboratory management.
