We are now accepting applications for the following position:
SERVER/BARTENDER
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Welcome guests, present and recite menu, offer suggestions, provide descriptions, informing on specials and/or seasonal offerings.
- Develop and maintain strong communication with kitchen staff; notify of any special cooking instructions, allergies or dietary restrictions.
- Prepare non-alcoholic beverages; restock the bar with ice, liquor, beer, wine, garnishes, glass and stem wear, non-alcoholic beverages and supplies.
- Efficiently deliver food and drinks; inform Manager of any issues.
- Check-in with guests to assure satisfaction with each course and beverage.
- Display safe food and beverage handling in accordance with Health & Safety standards.
- Carryout payment transactions using POS system; ensure an accurate account of cash and debit/credit card transactions.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service.
- Maintain a clean bar area, complete closing duties and re-stock supplies.
- Follow opening and closing duties of restaurant operations.
- Follow all recipe and drink preparation standards.
- Set and clear tables according to restaurant standards; maintain restaurant cleanliness.
- Perform other duties as required by management from time to time.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must possess minimum two (2) years of Bartending experience within a luxury resort/hotel.
- Possess a comprehensive background and knowledge of food & beverage
- Experience using a Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Extensive knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, classic cocktails and mixology.
- Able to handle multiple tasks and work well in environment with time constraints.
- Capable of working on own initiative to ensure high level of service and quality is upheld.
- Team oriented possessing a strong work ethic, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
- A satisfactory Police record and fluency in English is required.
- Able to perform duties inside and outside under various weather conditions.
- Must be willing to work late shifts, weekends and public holidays, work in extreme weather conditions, lift up to 50 lbs
Salary: CI$6.56– CI$8.00 per hour + gratuities
