We’re looking for a caring, resilient, and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our dedicated team in Bournemouth, supporting pupils aged 3 to 19 years with a range of needs including Autism, PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities), and challenging behaviour.
The Role
You’ll play a key part in helping students access learning, build independence, and develop life skills in a supportive and inclusive environment. This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same—you’ll work alongside teachers and therapists to provide personalised support.
Responsibilities include:
- Supporting pupils with their learning, communication, and social development
- Helping manage behaviour in a positive, proactive manner
- Assisting with personal care and physical needs where required
- Creating a safe, nurturing environment that enables every child to thrive
About You
- Ideally, you’ll have experience working with children or young people with SEND, Autism, PMLD, or challenging behaviour
- We’ll also consider applicants with experience supporting adults with additional needs
- You’re patient, flexible, and a great team player
- Comfortable providing personal care
- Committed to inclusion and helping every young person reach their potential
