1Stop Car Sales is looking for a skilled and motivated PDI Technician to join our busy workshop team. As our business continues to grow, we require a dedicated technician to carry out vehicle inspections, servicing, and preparation work to ensure every vehicle meets our high standards before reaching our customers.
This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a professional, fast-paced operation preparing up to 200 vehicles per month, with on-site workshop and bodyshop facilities.
The Role
As a PDI Technician, your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) on used vehicles.
- Completing vehicle health checks and quality inspections.
- Carrying out routine servicing and maintenance work.
- Diagnosing and repairing minor mechanical faults.
- Replacing brakes, suspension components, batteries, tyres and exhausts where required.
- Preparing vehicles to retail standard.
- Ensuring all work is completed to DVSA and manufacturer standards.
- Accurately completing workshop job cards and inspection reports.
- Working closely with the workshop controller and bodyshop team to meet preparation deadlines.
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience as a PDI Technician, Service Technician or Vehicle Technician.
- NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (preferred).
- A strong understanding of vehicle diagnostics and repair procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in delivering high-quality workmanship.
- The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- A full UK driving licence.
