Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable van driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting plants and gardening accessories from our nursery to various locations in London and the South East, ensuring timely and safe deliveries. This role requires careful loading and unloading, a professional attitude, excellent driving skills, and the ability to help around the nursery when not out on deliveries.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate company the company van to transport plants and gardening products to customers.
- Load and unload plants, ensuring they are secured properly during transit to prevent damage.
- Communicate effectively with customers upon delivery, providing excellent customer service.
- Complete delivery documentation accurately and promptly.
- Maintain the cleanliness and basic maintenance of the delivery vehicle.
- Follow all health and safety regulations during transportation and loading/unloading processes.
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver. Plant knowledge is useful but not essential.
- Valid UK driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
- Good physical fitness for loading and unloading and manual handling tasks.
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members.
Pay: £14.00-£16.00 per hour
