Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Family Solicitor to join our reputable legal team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a diverse caseload related to family law, including divorce, child arrangements, and financial disputes. Responsibilities
- Managing a varied caseload of family law matters from inception to resolution, ensuring timely progression of each case
- Providing expert legal advice to clients on issues such as divorce, child custody, financial settlements, and separation agreements
- Drafting legal documents including pleadings, affidavits, consent orders, and other court submissions
- Representing clients at court hearings and negotiations with opposing parties
- Maintaining accurate case records and ensuring compliance with all legal procedures and deadlines
- Building strong relationships with clients through clear communication and empathetic support
- Collaborating with colleagues and external professionals such as mediators or counsellors to facilitate favourable outcomes for clients
Qualifications
- Qualified Solicitor with a valid practising certificate specialising in family law
- Proven experience managing family law cases independently and efficiently
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly to clients
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple cases simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in IT systems relevant to legal practice, including case management software and document drafting tools
- Ability to work well under pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail and professionalism
- A compassionate approach combined with a proactive attitude towards client service
