We are looking for a part time Front of House Team Member.
The Dartmoor Inn is an award winning busy gastro pub located at the top of Lydford. We are open Wednesday to Sunday for lunch and dinner. During the winter months (October until April) we close on Sunday Evenings.
Main Duties will include;
- Setting up pre-service (including polishing cutlery & glassware, setting tables and when required assisting the cleaners with the cleaning of the Inn)
- Setting up the Bar
- Serving Food & Drinks to Tables
- Running the Bar
- Clearing Tables
- Interacting with Customers
- Closing down at the end of the shift.
Shifts will be a selection of split & straight shifts over Lunch & Dinner. Must be flexible and available to work both evenings and weekends. Hours can vary to the business needs but can work around the successful candidate.
The right candidates must have a 'can-do' attitude and be able to work well as a team. They must be well presented and naturally able to start conversations with guests. Must be able to work well under pressure.
Personality is more important that experience, although experience in the hospitality industry is preferred.
Must have own transport due to location & shift patterns. Approximately 2-3 shifts per week depending on the right candidate.
Would suit a student studying locally looking for additional income – please note this role is not a seasonal role and the successful candidate would be required to work beyond September (so would not suit a university student who lives away teem time) Must be 18+.
