Job Summary
We are seeking a professional Hotel Receptionist with great customer service skills to join our welcoming team. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a smooth and pleasant check-in and check-out experience. This role requires excellent communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and a genuine passion for hospitality. Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to assist our diverse clientele. The Hotel Receptionist will play a vital role in maintaining high standards of guest service and organisational efficiency within our establishment.
Duties
- Welcome guests warmly upon arrival and assist with the check-in process.
- Handle guest enquiries courteously via phone, email, or in person.
- Manage reservations and room allocations efficiently using the booking system.
- Provide information about hotel facilities, local attractions, and services.
- Process payments accurately and issue receipts or invoices as required.
- Address guest concerns promptly and escalate issues to management when necessary.
- Maintain a tidy and organised reception area at all times.
- Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Uphold excellent phone etiquette when communicating with guests and suppliers.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and reporting.
- Support the F&B team with breakfast service on busy days.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hotel reception or guest services is preferred but not essential.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills in English; additional languages such as French, Spanish, or German are advantageous but not essential.
- Proficient in using reservation management systems and Front Office applications.
- Demonstrates professionalism, courtesy, and a positive attitude at all times.
- Knowledge of 4/5 star hospitality standards and guest service excellence is desirable.
- Ability to work flexibly across shifts, including evenings and weekends if required.
