We are a nationwide company specialising in Electric Gate Automation, Access Control and Safety Solutions, and we are looking to recruit a confident, friendly and reliable General Maintenance Assistant to join our team.
Working alongside our Maintenance Team and reporting directly to the Senior Management Team, this is a varied, hands-on role that offers the opportunity to work across multiple sites, supporting the day-to-day upkeep and maintenance of our buildings and grounds.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be involved in a range of duties, including:
· Carrying out driving duties as required, including deliveries and collections.
· Undertaking general gardening and grounds maintenance across all company sites.
· Assisting installation engineers with general site duties.
· Supporting the maintenance, repair and upkeep of buildings across all sites.
· Maintaining high standards of housekeeping throughout company premises.
· Reporting faulty maintenance equipment when necessary.
· Carrying out basic maintenance and repair tasks.
· Assisting in ensuring Risk Assessments and Safe Working Practices are followed at all times.
About You
We are looking for someone who is practical, proactive and able to work both independently and as part of a team. The successful candidate should be able to use their own initiative, follow instructions effectively, and always work in accordance with Health & Safety policies and procedures.
Essential Requirements
· A full, clean UK driving licence.
· A hands-on approach with a strong attention to detail.
· Previous practical experience using tools and equipment, including gardening tools.
· A positive attitude and willingness to undertake a variety of tasks.
The duties of this role will be reviewed regularly as the needs of the business evolve.
Hours of Work
Monday to Friday, 08:30 am to 16:30 pm (with 30 minute unpaid break) 37.5 hours per week.
Salary
National Minimum Wage/National Living Wage (dependent on eligibility).
Pay: Up to £23,809.50 per year
