Job Description:
We are looking for a Production Line Manager to oversee our apparel manufacturing line, ensuring efficient workflow, quality control, and timely delivery. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and experience managing the production team in the factory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day operations of the production line, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to production schedules.
- Supervise, train, and motivate production staff to meet quality and efficiency targets.
- Monitor and optimise production processes to improve output and reduce waste.
- Ensure all garments meet quality standards and client specifications before dispatch.
- Collaborate with design, sourcing, and logistics teams to ensure seamless production.
- Maintain health and safety standards, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Identify and troubleshoot production issues, implementing effective solutions.
- Track production performance metrics and generate reports for senior management.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and reduce costs.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a Production Line Manager or similar role within apparel manufacturing.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and guide staff.
- Knowledge of garment production processes, speciality machines, quality control, and efficiency optimisation.
- Experience in stretch fabrics/lingerie/swim.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in production planning software is an advantage.
