Job Summary
Wesbart are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Inspector to join our team of 30 staff in Billingshurst, West Sussex.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of product quality through the inspection processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to product excellence and operational efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of incoming raw materials, components, and finished products to verify compliance with quality standards and specifications
- Purchase raw materials and component parts required for work orders
- Maintain a stock management system for finished items and component parts.
- Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to evaluate quality performance, negotiate purchasing terms, and ensure timely delivery of materials
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, audits, and procurement activities for traceability and reporting purposes
- Support the development and enforcement of quality assurance procedures across production lines
- Assist in supplier evaluations, audits, and qualification processes to uphold quality standards
- Assist with packing and other warehouse duties when needed.
Required skill set
- Proven experience in quality inspection or quality assurance roles within manufacturing or metal fabrication industry
- Understanding of technical drawings
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with suppliers, team members, and management
- Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and consistency
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities in a fast-paced setting
- Forklift licence preferred

Monday - Friday, 7.30am - 4pm
