Excellent opportunity for a Building Surveyor to join a small team in Sidcup
We are an established, independent, multi-disciplined practice specialising in educational, commercial, public sector and private housing projects.
Due to continued growth, we are seeking a motivated and experienced Building Surveyor to join our successful Consultancy. A driven professional ready to hit the ground running, with strong industry knowledge and demonstrable experience managing building projects from inception to completion.

The successful candidate will play a key part in delivering high-quality assessments, reports, and consultancy advice to clients. Applicant Requirements:
- Degree in Building Surveying accredited by RICS with Chartered status (MRICS/FRICS) or minimum of 5 years relevant industry experience.
- Sound technical knowledge with significant building surveying experience.
- Well-developed expertise in surveys, repairs and maintenance.
- Client management experience and commercial awareness with a clear understanding of expectations, profitability and business development.
- Sound knowledge of drafting technical documentation.
- Experience in Contract Administration.
- Experience and understanding of CDM Regulations 2015, Party Wall Matters and Building Regulation legislation.
- Excellent communication skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong time management skills with a commercially astute mindset and commitment to delivery.
- Full UK driver’s licence.
- Ideally experienced in the education, local government and healthcare sectors.
Duties Include:
- Working across multiple projects providing a full range of building surveying services.
- Use and application of JCT Standard Forms of Building Contract.
- Undertaking surveys, inspections and schedules, providing professional services and managing schemes.
- Ensuring projects and professional appointments are delivered on budget and on schedule.
- Acting as Contract Administrator, including preparing tender documentation, advising on contractor and designer appointments and procurement routes.
- Assessing the condition of existing buildings, identifying and analysing defects and proposing remedial solutions.
- Advising building maintenance management and supervision.
- Undertaking feasibility studies.
- Advising on the Health and Safety matters relating to buildings.
- Managing Party Wall procedures.
- Maintaining effective communication to ensure all efficient financial control and successful project delivery.
- Delivering accurate and timely work outputs in an accurate and timely manner.
- Representing the company professionally in meetings, negotiations and client relationship management.
- Working closely with and supporting the Directors, support business development initiatives and help drive the continued growth of the practice.

Pay: Up to £65,000.00 per year
